Sleep it off.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I would like to sleep for the next 36 hours or so. I never got all jazzed up for the day. Thinking it was more about companies making a buck and society amping up relationship pressure than celebrating anything. Random Thursday date nights stick more in my memory than an overpriced, crowded restaurant on February 14th.
That being said, nobody is getting me anything tomorrow and, after thirteen years, it kinda stings. No balloons or cards or chocolate covered strawberries. Ok. No declarations of love or romantic gestures. Hmmmm. Because it's not the things. Fabricated or not, Valentine's Day is a day where we are all reminded to tell that special someone that you love them and that you pick them. This year, I won't have that to hear or say. I miss it more than I thought I would.
