Well, How About That? We're ONE!

It has been a year. Last year on this day I hit publish for the first time. It started as a little place for me. To process and vent and share my journey. The good, the bad and the ugly. It became a whole lot more. It became something I loved and a "task" I look forward to each month.

It has also become a scrapbook of sorts. To chart my growth and see my progress. Sometimes when your head is down and you are slogging through the muck, you don't see the change. The upswings or the growth or the fact that there is less muck. Your friends can remind you which is super helpful but not as great as reading it from your own perspective. In your own voice. It's an important mirror to hold up.

That's just how it has been for me. But it has become something for others. I have been blown away by the messages and emails. Women telling me how I am saying what they wanted to but couldn't. Or didn't know that they needed to say. They are telling me that they are watching me, half a step ahead of them, navigate these waters: logistically, emotionally, mentally and energetically. Isn't that something? To see that my vulnerability, my snark, my hope and beautiful mess has helped someone else.

Or that they are many steps ahead of ME and telling me it gets better and showing me how they survived. Which, um hi, is totally helpful and appreciated. Nobody wants to be in this club. This divorced mom infidelity club. But it's a pretty kickass club. Full of strong, amazing, kind-hearted women who want nothing more than helping other women succeed. That is only one of the gifts of this past year. Because I decided to press publish. I would do it again in a second.

Happy blogaversary (yep. That's a thing.) to me. I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for this little space. I've got some ideas and I am excited to take you along. Sign up and get the news right into your inbox every Monday morning. Or just hop on when you want. That works, too. Either way, thanks for coming and checking in and loving us up. That is the best. It is kindness...because. Let it begin with us.
